18" Paiste 2002 'Red Label' Flat Ride (Project)

Weight: 1.621g. B8 Bronze.

The cymbal has had a noticeable high-frequency noise from the start (not much more).

The basin has therefore been suitable as a 'test basin'.

The cymbal has been given a rough treatment. It has been heated (the text has now turned purple), hammered, bent, deacidified, etc.

Sustain is now considerably shortened and the cymbal has changed character.

It still has the fine touch it was 'born' with, but when it opens up it is almost 'trash' in sound. The surface is dark as the Paiste thin film has burned away.

The alloy has also changed due to too much acidification.

Originally it was supposed to be so nice - now it's dark and trashy!

NB! The slight dissonance can be heard, but it is not much.

A cushion or two, and you have a cymbal that can easily be used - and with even shorter sustain.

There are, with guarantee, no other cymbals like this - the price is set accordingly.
